Dear Wake County Voters: ![]() As a former Wake County Commissioner and lifelong public school advocate, I am asking you for your vote to the Wake County Board of Commissioners on November 2nd. I will work hard to keep our schools strong, protect our water and air, and I will focus on creating and keeping jobs in Wake County. Wake County has been recognized nationally as a great place to live, raise children and start a business, but we cannot ignore the problems that threaten the quality of life we enjoy. • We need to partner with the business community to create new jobs. • We must help Wake Technical Community College expand job training and education programs. • We have to build new public school classrooms to reduce overcrowding and we must attract and retain the best teachers. • We need to provide parks and preserve neighborhood quality of life as we plan for and respond to growth. I am proud of what I have accomplished in the four years I served on the Wake County Commission. As a mother, grandmother and NC State University professional, I am keenly aware of the importance of a good education and a healthy environment. I know the importance of proactive economic development strategies that keep our employers here in Wake County and I advocate for public/partnerships that help create new jobs. I am willing to stand up and fight for this vision. Good government requires input from all citizens and open debate of the issues. I have always supported public hearings and input from citizens like you. You can count on me to involve the public in major decisions. Please consider a contribution to help my campaign. There are many volunteer opportunities. Sign up for a yard sign. And, as always, your thoughts on important issues are appreciated. Sincerely, ![]() |
